What you’ll need:

1x PUCKPUCK & Splash Filter
1 x Aeropress
38g Medium ground coffee – we recommend our Seasonal Blend
1 x Water vessel* or mineral water bottle (See compatible water bottle list here)
400ml Water & 100g Ice
1x Jug or jar 600-750ml
PuckPuck App to count the drips (not essential)
HOW TO – RECIPE
1) Rinse the PuckPuck. Unclip and set aside the SPLASH FILTER. Unscrew and rinse the two halves of the PUCKPUCK with hot water. Shake off any excess water, ensuring all 4 vent holes are clear. Re-assemble the PUCKPUCK, screwing clockwise to a closed position.
2) Assemble AeroPress. Add a paper filter to the filter cap and screw it onto the Aeropress®. Place the Aeropress® onto a jug.
3) Add Coffee. Place 38g medium ground coffee into the Aeropress® on top of the filter and shake to level. Drop the SPLASH FILTER  on top of the coffee grounds inside the Aeropress.
4) Place puckpuck and vessel on the AeroPress and add water and ice. Place the combined PUCKPUCK and water vessel on top of the Aeropress®. Add 100g of ice to the vessel, and fill up the remainder with 400ml of water.
5) Adjust your Drip rate. Slowly turn the PUCKPUCK in an anti-clockwise direction until you start to see drips coming out of the valve. Adjust the flow rate to around 50 drops per minute for a 2.5 – 3 hr brew time. Feel free to experiment with drip rates to personalise your brew.
Cleanup
To clean up, simply remove the PUCKPUCK and VESSEL from the Aeropress®.
Give the Aeropress® a tap and carefully unscrew the filter cap, the coffee grounds should come out neatly with the splash filter on top.
Take care to remove the SPLASH FILTER before disposing of the coffee grounds and used paper filter.
Rinse the Aeropress®, filter cap and SPLASH FILTER under warm water.
TROUBLESHOOTING
– The drips are stopping!
Make sure you are using ice water. This helps to reduce the size of air bubbles passing through the filter which may interrupt the flow.
– The drips are erratic!
Check that the side vent holes are not blocked by water, a quick blow into the holes should fix this. Its taking too long.
note: The drip method can be sensitive to environmental temperatures and humidity so adjust your drip rate to suit a 2.5-3hr brew time.

– The grounds are dry when I finish a brew
We would suggest to try pre-wetting the grounds, sometimes with coffee that may be a bit older than 30 days past the roast date the grounds need pre-wetting. Pour about 30-40 ml of water over the grounds first and then remove that amount of water from what you place in the vessel or water bottle.
