Our most awarded blend is a vibrant, clean, and juicy specialty coffee blend. It delivers distinct notes of sweet cocoa, smooth toffee, and bright stone fruit, finishing with a lasting sweetness and balanced acidity.

Roasted to a medium profile, this blend offers excellent versatility. It performs beautifully as espresso and in milk-based coffees, while still producing a clear and expressive cup when served black in all brewing methods.

The Organic sits alongside our House Blend in our cafés and is the primary blend for some of our wholesale partners, valued for its balance, clarity, and lively flavour profile.

Coffee is best stored in a cool and dark place, away from heat and sunlight. Ideally in an air-tight container such as an Air Scape canister.

Acidity
Acidity refers to the pleasant brightness, liveliness, or tartness felt on the sides and tip of the tongue. It's not sourness, but freshness!

Body is the weight, texture, or viscosity of the coffee felt in your mouth. A high body feels thick and creamy; a low body is light and delicate.

Sweetness
Sweetness refers to the presence of natural sugars remaining in the coffee after roasting. It balances the acidity and often presents as caramel or honey notes.

Roast
Roast Level indicates how long the bean was roasted. Lighter roasts retain more of the bean's original, acidic, fruity notes; darker roasts develop more chocolate and bitterness.

The Purposeful Brew: Our Organic Story

Established in 2013, the Organic Blend was created with a clear purpose: to honor the customers who specifically seek organic coffee. While all our specialty-grade beans are grown at high altitudes, which inherently minimizes the need for chemicals, we wanted to provide a product that meets certain standards. This dedication means we source it from smallholder farmers who practice traditional, organic methods, often passing down their expertise through generations, or from larger farms that hold rigorous certifications. The name of the blend comes directly from its essence: a commitment to the purest, most intentional form of cultivation, delivered directly to your cup.

Sourcing & Components

The Organic Trio: A Balance of Origin

The unique depth and clarity of this blend is a result of sourcing three distinct origins, all of which are organically grown and some certified. The harmony between these regions creates a complex, perfectly balanced cup:

  • Mexico: Provides the necessary body and depth, laying the foundation with rich, persistent notes of dark chocolate and cacao.
  • Papua New Guinea (PNG): Contributes the essential sweetness and smoothness, ensuring the blend remains approachable and well-rounded.
  • African Origins: Brings the crucial higher notes, juiciness, and vibrant acidity that elevates the blend from robust to complex and memorable.

Roasting Philosophy

Optimised for Immersion and Espresso

This is a Medium Roast designed for dual-purpose excellence. The profile is intentionally robust enough to cut through milk for an incredible espresso, yet clean enough to allow the juicy notes to shine through in black coffee. Due to its exceptional clarity and body, it is our internal favourite for immersion brewing methods, particularly the French Press, where the rich oil texture and flavour density are maximised.
