Our Roastery & Cafe Locations

 

With two cafes in Cairns, Sipping Duck is a family-run specialty coffee roastery based in Far North Queensland. We roast our coffee in-house at our Cairns roastery, which supplies both of our cafe locations as well as wholesale partners, workplaces, and home customers across Australia.

Our cafés are directly connected to the roastery. This allows customers to experience the same coffee in the cafe that they can also buy for home or workplace use, prepared in a practical and consistent way.

The Experience

At our cafes, we serve our House Blend — a high-altitude specialty coffee roasted by us — alongside a rotating selection of seasonal coffees. Drinks are prepared with clarity and consistency in mind, without unnecessary complexity.

In addition to coffee, we offer premium drinking chocolates and organic loose-leaf teas. These are the same products available through our online store and wholesale supply, prepared in the cafe as they are intended to be used.

Food is made in-house each day. The menu is simple and varied, changing with availability rather than following a fixed format. The spice blends used in our kitchen are also produced by us and are available to take home.

Baked goods are prepared fresh daily and change regularly. Depending on the day, this may include croissants, muffins, specialty scones, or other small-batch items.

 

Visiting our Cafes

Both cafe locations offer takeaway and dine-in service. Some customers visit daily, others occasionally or while passing through the area. The focus remains the same: coffee roasted in-house, food prepared on site, and service that fits into everyday routines.

Freshly roasted coffee beans are always available to purchase, whether for brewing at home or setting up coffee in a small workplace.

 

Wholesale Partners

Our roastery supplies coffee and selected specialty products to cafes and independent retailers in Cairns, Far North Queensland, and surrounding regions. Operating our own cafes allows us to test and refine our coffee in real-world service conditions before supplying it more broadly.
